پروتئین ۶ ریختزایی استخوان
پروتئین ۶ ریختزایی استخوان (انگلیسی: Bone morphogenetic protein 6) یک پروتئین است که در انسان توسط ژن «BMP6» کُدگذاری میشود.
این پروتئین عضوی از خانوادهٔ فاکتور رشد تغییردهنده بتا است. پروتئینهای ریختزایی استخوان قادرند رشد و تکامل غضروف و استخوان را تحریک کنند.
پروتئین ۶ ریختزایی استخوان قادر به القای تمامی انواع نشانگرهای استخوانساز در سلولهای بنیادی مزانشیمی است. این پروتئین همچنین یکی از تنظیمکنندههای مهم هپسیدین است، پپتید کوچکی که توسط کبد ترشح شده و تنظیمکنندهٔ اصلی سوختوساز آهن در پستانداران است.
