پروتئین ۵ ریختزایی استخوان
پروتئین ۵ ریختزایی استخوان (انگلیسی: Bone morphogenetic protein 5) یک پروتئین است که در انسان توسط ژن «BMP5» کُدگذاری میشود.
این پروتئین عضوی از خانوادهٔ فاکتور رشد تغییردهنده بتا است. پروتئینهای ریختزایی استخوان قادرند رشد و تکامل غضروف و استخوان را تحریک کنند.
پروتئین ۵ ریختزایی استخوان احتمالاً در بروز برخی انواع سرطان نقش دارد و همچون سایر انواع پروتئینهای ریختزایی استخوان توسط کوردین و ناگین مهار میشود.
این پروتئین به میزان فراوان در سر عصب بینایی (دیسک اُپتیک) وجود دارد و در رشد و تکامل آن نقش دارد. این پروتئین تا حدودی نیز در شش و کبد یافت میشود.
